C. Jakarta Mayor Asked to Control PKL at Jl Jatibaru

Jakarta Provincial Government will soon control street vendor (PKL) that occupies the sidewalk along Jl Jatibaru, Gambir, Central Jakarta. Moreover, the sidewalk construction has not been completed.

The sidewalk project is not yet finish. So, we will manage it along with KUMKMP Dept and mayor

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama disclosed his party asks Mayor of Central Jakarta, Mangara Pardede to immediately conduct controlling.

"The sidewalk project is not yet finish. So, we will manage it along with KUMKMP Dept and mayor," he disclosed, at City Hall, Thursday (9/22).

PKL Stalls at Jalan Lodan Raya Controlled

He added that will still study whether the location can be made a shelter for PKL or not. Because not all locations can accommodate PKL.

According to him, only certain locations that could be provided for street vendors. Yet, there are requirements that must be met, such as keeping cleanliness. 

"I say I'll give it, if the sidewalk space is large. But if you block the road and throw trash illegally, I'll control you, despite you've Bank DKI account," he asserted.

As known, people complain supervision towards PKl on the Jatibaru sidewalk. Whereas, it is a pilot project of arrangement in the capital. Its arrangement is also unfinished, yet some PKL have set up their stalls.
